Next Beginners Course: 4 Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm - 9.30pm - Tuesday 26th Oct, Tuesday 2nd November, Tuesday 9th November, Tuesday 16th November 2010 (cost of the course is £65 and includes a meditation CD for practise at home)

If for some reason you are unable to attend all 4 sessions alternative teaching sessions can usually be arranged.

Each teaching session allows ample time for meditation practice, guided relaxation, questions and answers and of course tea and biscuits (provided by me).

Who is the course for?
The course is for anybody who is willing to take an interest in themselves. You do not need to be in a good state or a good mood to meditate nor do you need to be spiritual or a Buddhist.

What do you learn on the course?
On the course we will gently explore 2 foundation meditation practices from the Buddhist tradition: The Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana. Both practices support and enhance one another.

The Mindfulness of Breathing cultivates calmness, focus and awareness. It is sometimes described as a coming home to oneself.

The Metta Bhavana develops compassion for oneself and others. It is traditionally said to bring many benefits including better sleep, an awakening of self esteem, emotional buoyancy and the attraction of more warmth and kindness from others as well as one being able to express more warmth and compassion to others.
